The RID lab is led by Dr. Kira Hudson Banks and consists of doctoral and undergraduate psychology students at the Saint Louis University. The RID lab conducts research on psychological liberation from oppression, the experience of discrimination and racial identity. Dr. Banks was a racial equity consultant for the Ferguson Commission and has been involved in creating community driven offerings and promoting healing justice within the St. Louis community.
Through theoretically grounded, innovative research and thoughtful discussion, the RID lab advances the conversation around race, racism and and other issues related to social identities and mental health.
